Turning your Tactacam DEFEND Camera on and off is pretty simple. Follow these steps to get it done:
- At the back of the camera, open the tray to find two buttons–Test and Power.
- Push and hold the Power button for 1 second.
- Close the tray.
- At the front of the camera, you will see the green light flash, followed by a blue light–the blue light means the camera is now in setup mode.
- Make any changes to the camera settings if needed.
- The blue light will remain on for 3-5 minutes while the camera connects to a cellular network.
- Once the lights turn off, the camera is ready to go.
- To power the camera off, repeat the process: Open the back tray, locate the Power button, and push and hold it for 1 second.
- When the blue light comes on, push and hold the power button for 1 more second, and then look for the green flashing light on the front of the camera–this means the unit is powering down.
